Associate Professor Geoff Ramin 

International Medical Systems (IMS) was formed by Geoff Ramin and provides high quality medical repatriation services to and from anywhere in the world. IMS also provides a range of consultancy and educational services related to pre-hospital care, aeromedical transportation and medical retrieval. IMS' activities have been as diverse as helping develop industrial paramedic services on Groote Eylandt, providing medical support to sporting events and training all aeromedical doctors for the Hong Kong helicopter based medical retrieval system. Geoff is a specialist Emergency Physician who also works clinically in Intensive Care. He has extensive experience in pre-hospital care and medical retrieval. He is currently the Senior Specialist Aeromedical and Critical Care Services for the Royal Flying Doctor Service  Qld, the Director of Emergency Medicine at the John Flynn Hospital, a VMO in Intensive Care at the Tweed Hospital and a Senior Medical Consultant to Allianz Global Assistance. He has previously received an Australia Day Medallion for his services to pre-hospital care. His passion for adventures includes mountaineering, scuba diving, hiking in the wilderness and generally getting lost.

Drew is the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust Chair of Road Trauma and Emergency Medicine at the Australian National University Medical School. His clinical position is Senior Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine at The Canberra Hospital.

Dr Terri Prest MD, FACEM

Terri Prest, MD, FACEM.    Ex-pat Canadian, trained at University of Toronto (MD) and McGill University (CCFP-EM) in the 1990's. Completed FACEM in Auckland, 2007. Currently EM consultant at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland as well as Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Training at Middlemore. The travel bug taken me to many parts of the globe and whether it be horse, kayak, skis or feet, I just love being out there exploring.

Mr Peter Thelwell LLB (Hons)

Peter Thelwell is an Associate at Ivan Poole Lawyers, a commercial law firm in Southport, specialising in Franchising and Intellectual Property.  The firm is undergoing rapid growth in all areas of commercial law, and Peter has a particular interest in Sports Law having acted for a number of Olympic Athletes in his previous career in Athlete Management in the UK.  Peter is a former member of the British Ski Team having represented Great Britain on the 2004/2005 Skier X World Cup and at the 2005 World University Winter Games in Innsbruck and also has a (much less accomplished) passion for Golf.”

Mark Stallwood B.V.Sc, MBA,

As a practice owner and practitioner for many years, Mark developed firsthand experience with many of the issues that face professional practice. He has held a variety of positions, including executive officer of the Australian Veterinary Practice Management Association and was the founding CEO of the Australian Veterinary Business Association. He has taught small business management and also variety of subjects in the marketing and retail fields. Mark’s professional interests include the role of business management in professional practice, and the use of ICT in small business.

He currently holds the position of Director, Stallwood Consulting Services, a niche consultancy firm and works with professional practices in the medical, dental and veterinary professions throughout Australia. He is also Academic Director for the University of New England Partnerships program in Practice Management, a position he has held since 2007, and was instrumental in the development of the current Certificate and Diploma in Professional Practice Management. 

Outside of work Mark is a keen wildlife and landscape photographer who is always looking for that one great shot.
